"Jefferson" Tonight at 8 on History. A profile of Thomas Jefferson examines his life and legacy.

"Shaq Vs." Tonight at 9:01 on ABC. Shaq squares off with Charles Barkley in a five-hole golf challenge in Dana Point, Cal., and also takes part in a competitive-eating challenge with hot-dog-eating champ Joey Chestnut. In golf, the former hoops stars are coached by PGA pros Anthony Kim and Bubba Watson.

On March 21, Jimmie Johnson won on this cozy half-mile track for the first time in 17 starts, snapping Kyle Busch's two-race Bristol win streak. Three races remain until the Chase for the Championship.

"In America" Tonight at 8 on CNN. "The reward is greater than the risk," says actor Wendell Pierce ("Treme") in this Soledad O'Brien report on the effort to resuscitate Pontchartrain Park, a middle-class black New Orleans neighborhood that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The doc weaves the story of how Pontchartrain native Pierce came to lead the rebuilding project, along with others, including seniors Audrey and Meldon Woods and postal worker Hurby Oubre, whose wife Lisa isn't sure she wants to return.

"The Informant!" Tonight at 8 on HBO. When Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon) discovers that his company is involved in price-fixing, he becomes an informant for the FBI. Convinced he'll be hailed as a hero for his efforts, he agrees to wear a wire and gathers evidence to convict his bosses. Unfortunately, both the case and Whitacre's integrity are compromised when the FBI agents discover that he isn't the saintly figure he made himself out to be. Directed by Steven Soderbergh. "Garbage Moguls" Tonight at 8 on National Geographic. This series documents daily life at TerraCycle, Inc., a green business that creates products made of trash. In the premiere, the team creates a line of pet products fashioned from recycled dog-food bags.

"Being Human" Tonight at 9 on BBC Amer. Details of Mitchell's past are revealed as he struggles to contain the urge to kill. Meanwhile, Annie is left looking after a ghost baby; and George's new relationship continues to grow.

"Ace of Cakes" Tonight at 10 on Food. Duff travels to Boston and dons a tuxedo to deliver a cake to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. While in Beantown, he also throws out the first pitch at a Red Sox game. Also: A huge trophy-shaped cake is created for the 85th annual Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase race.

"Stan Lee's Superhumans" Tonight at 10 on History. Stan Lee and Daniel Browning Smith profile people with unusual abilities. The opener includes a man who is supposedly unharmed by electric currents; a man known as the "Human Calculator"; a blind man who has developed sonar; and a strong man who can bend hammers and horseshoes.

"Dark Blue" Tonight at 9 on TNT. Season 2 opens with Carter and his undercover team joining forces with a sightly female FBI agent (Tricia Helfer) to crush a regional crime lord, but the case takes an ugly turn when Carter's close friend falls victim to tragedy.

"America's Got Talent" Tonight at 9 on NBC. Four acts advance to the Top 24 in a results edition. Rocker Bret Michaels and British singer-songwriter Taio Cruz perform.

"Criss Angel: Mindfreak" Tonight at 10 on A&E. In the sixth-season opener, Criss attempts a Grand Canyon jump using a motorcycle-car hybrid.

"The Choir: Boys Don't Sing" Tonight at 10 on BBC Amer. Choirmaster Gareth Malone arrives at a new school and starts forming an all-boys choir in the Season 2 premiere.

"NCIS" Tonight at 8 on CBS. The investigation of a Marine's death on foreign soil forces Ziva to confront her past.

"18 to Life" Tonight at 9 on The CW. Tom and Jessie shock their families by revealing they're engaged in the debut of this sitcom, which follows a pair of 18-year-olds who tie the knot.

"Bad Girls Club" Tonight at 9 on Oxygen. Hissing, dissing and dishing abound when the unscripted series opens its fifth season. Seven brassy, sassy self-proclaimed bad girls arrive in Miami and try to live together under one roof. First up: One particularly snooty housemate annoys the others.

"Warehouse 13" Tonight at 9 on Syfy. Douglas Fargo leaves Eureka for a trip to Warehouse 13 to update the facility's computer system, which doesn't go as planned. Rene Auberjonois ("Star Trek: Deep Space Nine") guest stars.

"Shaq Vs." Tonight at 9:01 on ABC. Shaquille O'Neal heads to North Carolina to take on Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a head-to-head race at Concord Speedway. Also: a visit to Washington, D.C., to square off with National Spelling Bee champion Kavya Shivashankar.

"Rachel Zoe Project" Tonight at 10 on Bravo. The aftermath of Taylor's firing leaves the Zoe crew reeling in the Season 3 opener. The sweeping change results in promotions for both Brad and Rodger, and the team scrambles to stand tall for a crucial cover shoot with Demi Moore.

"Covert Affairs" Tonight at 10 on USA. Annie is stranded in Zurich with a Mossad agent whom she doesn't trust, while Auggie tries to bring her back. Meanwhile, Joan and Arthur try to find a leak within the organization, and Auggie seems to fit the bill.

"Shark Attack Survival Guide" Tonight at 9 on Discovery. Tips for surviving shark attacks are dispensed by Green Beret Terry Schappert, who gets into the water with live sharks to re-create five scenarios based on survivors' stories.

"Money Hungry" Tonight at 9 on VH1. As the series begins, two-person teams compete to lose 100 or more lbs., with $10,000 of their own money to lose and a $100,000 pot on the line.

"Aftermath" Tonight at 10 on BIO. William Shatner talks to people whose lives were changed by dramatic events, and his guest, in the opener, is Bernhard Goetz, the "Subway Vigilante" who shot four teens in a New York subway in 1984.

"Rubicon" Tonight at 8 on AMC. Cloak-and-dagger doings about a troubled but brilliant code-cracking intelligence analyst at a federal agency. In the premiere episode, Will (James Badge Dale) considers quitting after an unsettling tragedy, but changes his mind when he discovers evidence of a possible government conspiracy. In a seemingly unrelated incident, a billionaire commits suicide and his wife ponders the reasons why.

"Top 10 Commercials of 2010" Tonight at 8 on TV Guide Network. A countdown of 2010's most memorable commercials.

"Ultimate Air Jaws" Tonight at 9 on Discovery. Observing great white sharks as they breach the waters off South Africa with shark expert Chris Fallows and filmmaker Jeff Kurr. Included: a shark's assault in the span of a second is slowed down to a minute for a detailed look at the predator in action; a small submarine gets close to the sharks.

"Next Food Network Star" Tonight at 9 on Food. The five remaining hopefuls get to prepare their signature dishes, but they must also incorporate their least favorite ingredient. Then, each will prepare a dish inspired by a different emotion and serve it to Eva Longoria Parker and chef Todd English at their L.A. restaurant, Beso.

"Drop Dead Diva" Tonight at 9 on Lifetime. Jane represents a hostile designer who wants to prevent the release of a tell-all book by her former assistant. Elsewhere, Jane asks Hank the bailiff out on a date, and Kim and Grayson handle a property dispute for a transgender woman in a feud with her partner's parents.
