"In America" Tonight at 8 on CNN. "The reward is greater than the risk," says actor Wendell Pierce ("Treme") in this Soledad O'Brien report on the effort to resuscitate Pontchartrain Park, a middle-class black New Orleans neighborhood that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The doc weaves the story of how Pontchartrain native Pierce came to lead the rebuilding project, along with others, including seniors Audrey and Meldon Woods and postal worker Hurby Oubre, whose wife Lisa isn't sure she wants to return.
"The Informant!" Tonight at 8 on HBO. When Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon) discovers that his company is involved in price-fixing, he becomes an informant for the FBI. Convinced he'll be hailed as a hero for his efforts, he agrees to wear a wire and gathers evidence to convict his bosses. Unfortunately, both the case and Whitacre's integrity are compromised when the FBI agents discover that he isn't the saintly figure he made himself out to be. Directed by Steven Soderbergh. "Garbage Moguls" Tonight at 8 on National Geographic. This series documents daily life at TerraCycle, Inc., a green business that creates products made of trash. In the premiere, the team creates a line of pet products fashioned from recycled dog-food bags.
"Being Human" Tonight at 9 on BBC Amer. Details of Mitchell's past are revealed as he struggles to contain the urge to kill. Meanwhile, Annie is left looking after a ghost baby; and George's new relationship continues to grow.
"Lake Placid 3" Tonight at 9 on Syfy. A game warden (Colin Ferguson) moves into his aunt's lakeside cabin with his wife and young son, and the little boy feeds the resident baby crocodiles until they grow up into monstrous predators that become a menace to the family.
"Whip It" Tonight at 10 on Cinemax. Drew Barrymore makes her directorial debut with this quirky sports drama about an ex-beauty queen (Ellen Page) who gives up her tiara for roller derby, to the dismay of her mother (Marcia Gay Harden). Kristen Wiig, Juliette Lewis.
