"Lie to Me" Tonight at 8 on Fox. When Cal is asked to determine if a mental hospital patient is being held against his will, he begins to question his own sanity. He also must confront his past. Then a wealthy woman wants Cal to conduct a background check on her new boyfriend.

"Inside the Actors Studio" Tonight at 8 on Bravo. James Lipton conducts an interview with actor and funnyman Jim Carrey. The star of "The Truman Show" (1998) and "Man on the Moon" (1999) talks about his formative years as a class clown; his early jobs; his work on TV's "In Living Color"; and the development of his Ace Ventura character.

"Susan Boyle: Piers Morgan's Life Stories" Tonight at 8 on TV Guide Network. Susan Boyle discusses her life and newfound career as a professional singer.

"BCS Championship Game:Auburn vs. Oregon" Tonight at 8:30 on ESPN. Auburn (13-0) vs. Oregon (12-0) for the BCS national title in Glendale, Ariz. Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton of Auburn pilots the nation's top-scoring offense (49.3 points per game). The Ducks average 42.7 points behind All-American RB LaMichael James. This is the first-ever meeting between these teams.

"Cake Boss: Next Great Baker" Tonight at 9 on TLC. The remaining hopefuls must create a dream wedding cake for a couple who are about to walk down the aisle.

"Men of a Certain Age" Tonight at 10 on TNT. The best-bud trio travel to Palm Springs to get colonoscopies. While there, Joe continues to grapple with gambling-related issues; Terry is consumed by thoughts of Erin; and Owen becomes more communicative about his father and the dealership.

"The X Life" Tonight at 10 on VH1. The lives of extreme athletes and their significant others are spotlighted in this reality series. In the opener, the athletes compete in the last stop on the Dew Tour in Las Vegas and some pay a visit to a hospital.
