"Smallville" Tonight at 8 on The CW. Clark is unwittingly infected with wish-fulfilling Kryptonite on Valentine's Day. "The Pillars of the Earth" Tonight at 10 on Encore and Starz. The premiere of this adaptation of the Ken Follett best seller, set in the 12th century, which chronicles the power struggle to determine the rightful heir to the crown of England. The dispute is between the late king's only legitimate daughter, Maud (Alison Pill), and the king's nephew Stephen (Tony Curran), who has ascended the throne via a mysterious technicality. Against this backdrop, a man of God endeavors to build a glorious cathedral.
