"The Simpsons" Tonight at 8 on Fox. In the 22nd-season premiere, Lisa goes to a performing-arts camp, which sparks her creative fire. Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Amber Riley from "Glee" lend their voices to Lisa's fellow campers, while Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie ("Flight of the Conchords") give voice to her counselors.
"Sunday Night Football:Jets at Dolphins" Tonight at 8:15 on NBC. New York Jets (1-1) at Miami (2-0). The Dolphins are coming off their first sweep of the Jets since 2003. Ronnie Brown ran for TDs to open and close a 31-27 win at home, while 3 TDs by defense and special teams keyed a 30-25 win on the road.
"Amazing Race 17" Tonight at 8:30 on CBS. The 17th edition of the reality series begins in Gloucester, Mass., and the 11 teams then fly from Boston to London. The pair to finish first on the initial leg receive a surprise reward that gives them a potential game-changing advantage.
"Cleveland Show" Tonight at 8:30 on Fox. Season 2 opener: Cleveland takes struggling rapper Kenny West (voice of Kanye West) under his wing, and the song they write ("Be-Cleave in Yourself") becomes a hit, making Kenny---but not Cleveland---a star.
"Desperate Housewives" Tonight at 9 on ABC. Season 7 opens with Vanessa Williams joining the cast as Lynette's rich friend Renee Perry, who makes an unexpected visit. And Paul Young (Mark Moses) returns with his new wife after his release from prison, and they move into Susan's old house. Meanwhile, Susan is offered a job by the manager (Lainie Kazan) of the apartment building where she and Mike now live; the newly single Bree is tempted by her handyman (Brian Austin Green); and Carlos and Gaby are keeping secrets from each other.
"Dexter" Tonight at 9 on Showtime. Season 5 opens with Dexter dealing with the aftermath of Rita's murder and making a decision that will impact many of those in his circle of friends, relatives and coworkers. Meanwhile, Quinn concludes that Rita's death doesn't match Trinity's MO, and steps up to help Debra in a time of trouble.
"Bored to Death" Tonight at 10 on HBO. In the Season 2 premiere, Jonathan begins teaching a writing class at night school, but continues to moonlight as a private detective when a mounted police officer (Lenny Venito) hires him to scrub his name from the client list of an S&M dungeon that's about to be raided. Meanwhile, George adjusts to a new cost-cutting publisher, and Ray's relationship with Leah is on the rocks after a yoga class.
