"College Football:Purdue at Notre Dame" Today at 3:30 on NBC. Purdue (5-7 in 2009) at Notre Dame (6-6) in the first game for new ND coach Brian Kelly. Last year, the Irish edged Purdue 24-21 in West Lafayette as Kyle Rudolph caught a TD pass with 25 seconds left. Purdue's Keith Smith caught 11 passes for 136 yards in the loss. Notre Dame leads the overall series 53-26-2.
"A Perfect Getaway" Tonight at 8 on HBO. An idyllic Hawaiian vacation turns into a nightmare when Cydney and Cliff (Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn) discover their lives are in danger from a psychotic killer who is hunting visitors to the island. "College Football:LSU vs. North Carolina" Tonight at 8:07 on ABC. LSU (9-4 last season) vs. North Carolina (8-5) in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. Corner Patrick Peterson is a standout on an inexperienced Tigers defense, while UNC has a veteran defensive unit led by end Robert Quinn. LSU has won five of six meetings with UNC.
"America's Most Wanted" Tonight at 9 on Fox. A recap of the 2009-10 season focuses on fugitives profiled who are still on the loose and viewer tips that led to captures. Featured fugitives include alleged Elizabeth, N.J., drug kingpin Luqman "Sheik" Abdullah; convicted Dallas sex offender Billy Twain Gibson; and the killer of 19-year-old Deontae Smith, who was shot to death during a melee at a Chicago block party in August 2009.
"Suze Orman Show" Tonight at 9 on CNBC. Viewer calls about family financial issues. Included: a son who wants his mom to be less dependent; a dad who hasn't given the wedding money he promised. Also: affording a Jaguar; buying a guitar.
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Tonight at 10 on Cinemax. Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) enters his sixth year at Hogwarts, while Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) prepares his followers for a battle intended to kill Harry and eradicate all non-pure-blooded wizards. Harry's only chance at survival rests in the hands of Dumbledore, who leads him on a perilous journey into the memories of Voldemort's childhood so that he may understand the enemy he is destined to fight.
