Meanwhile, Caroline is taken to the hospital following a car accident, and Tyler's mysterious uncle Mason arrives in town.
"NFL Football:Vikings at Saints" Tonight at 8:30 on NBC. Minnesota (12-4 last season) at New Orleans (13-3) in the season opener. This is a rematch of last year's NFC Championship, won by the Saints 31-28 on a 40-yard field goal in overtime. Brett Favre tossed a crucial INT in the final minute of regulation and Adrian Peterson had 3 rushing TDs in the loss.
"Rookie Blue" Tonight at 9 on ABC. In the first-season finale, the rookies face evaluations to determine whether they'll keep their badges or not, and Andy thinks about quitting the force. Earlier, Andy and Chris make an arrest and unwittingly compromise a major drug sting. Andy tries to salvage the sting by going undercover with Swarek, but both their lives are endangered. Meanwhile, Dov learns a hard truth about his girlfriend and must choose between the force and his love life.
"Nikita" Tonight at 9 on The CW. A spy returns to exact revenge on the clandestine agency that betrayed her after training her to be an assassin. In the pilot episode, Nikita (Maggie Q) emerges from three years of hiding to send a message to her former handlers at Division. Meanwhile, new recruit Alex begins her training at Division and discovers what the agency has planned for her future.
"9/11 State of Emergency" Tonight at 9 on History. Critical decisions of 9/11, often made in seconds by everyday citizens, local and national leaders, are recalled. Included: interview footage of such former officials as National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers, and White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card.
"Destination Truth" Tonight at 9 on Syfy. The Italian city of Pompeii is visited for a paranormal investigation, and claims linked to an unconfirmed carnivore said to be at large in Africa are probed in the Season 4 premiere.
